SRK UK supports Woodland Re-generation

(25/04/2012) - The Woodland Trust’s Jubliee Woodlands Project (www.jubileewoods.org.uk) is celebrating the Queen's Diamond Jubilee in 2012 by creating Diamond and Jubilee woods across the nation, as well as inspiring millions of people to get involved by planting trees in their neighbourhoods to create a lasting legacy of new woodland in the UK.

In line with our Sustainability Policy and our carbon awareness, SRK has taken part in the Woodland Trust Carbon Scheme for a number of years, so we were delighted to be able to support this inspirational initiative. We are now involved in a local project, Monk’s Wood, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, helping with the development of the wood originally planted in 2000 and to replant an area recently damaged by illicit grazing replanting broadleaf trees such as ash, rowan and field maple.
