SRK UK supports the new National Mining Memorial

The new National Mining Memorial

(28/10/2013) - The National Mining Memorial commemorating those who died in all coal mining disasters in Wales was officially opened at Senghenydd on Monday 14th October 2013.  A memorial service was held at the site of Britain’s worst mining disaster, exactly 100 years ago to the day.

This event marks a historic milestone in recognising the industrial heritage of mining in Wales and SRK is proud to have played a part in contributing to the Aber Valley Heritage Group which was appointed as the official fundraising organisation.

The service was attended by local residents, representatives of the Welsh government, other national and local dignitaries with Iestyn Humphreys and Timothy McGurk representing SRK UK.
