SRK recommends a phased approach to the underground mine design, starting with a scoping study, followed by a pre-feasibility study, progressing to a feasibility study, if warranted.
SRK’s experienced team of mine planners is well versed with the design process and works closely with other technical disciplines to develop optimal solutions for every situation. Deswick or MineSched integrated scheduling software is typically used, but we are conversant in all the major software packages.

Sindesar Khurd Mine, India. Feasibility study for the expansion of this underground mine. Facilities included a new decline, production shaft, process facility and a paste backfill plant.
Khetri Copper Complex, India. Detailed design for a replacement ore pass system, due to a failure with the existing facility.
Bibiani Gold Mine, Ghana. Complete life of mine planning exercise.
Voskhod Chrome Project, Kazakhstan. SRK completed a detailed underground mine design as part bankable level Feasibility Study on this project. One of the challenges of this project was to provide heating for the mine in the winter with ambient temperatures of -30˚C.
