Open Pit Mine Planning Workshop
Technical Services Workshop
Focus: Reporting, Productivity and Cost Optimisation
16-17 May 2017, Almaty, Kazakhstan
Mine planning roles can range from reactionary short term solutions to life of mine planning. Operating mines are best served by engineers who can deliver a balance from these two extremes. This workshop aims to demonstrate key concepts for use in mine planning and to provide exposure to cutting edge techniques applied to improve productivity and add value.
Overview of the Workshop
SRK invites you to a workshop focused on open pit mine planning for operations. The program will explore current industry standards, applying best practice open pit mine planning tools and techniques to deliver practical planning targets for mine operations. SRK will bring its international experience in open pit mine planning as well as recent experiences in the Kazakhstan region and CIS.
The workshop content is designed to provide the delegate with a fundamental understanding of key concepts used in open pit mine planning, covering life of mine to short term planning horizons which are typically covered in technical services roles.
Designed to be of real-world practical use, the workshop will consist of 2 days of lectures and tutorials comprising 8 modules that draw on the global experience of SRK’s open pit mine engineering group.
Each delegate will receive a printed copy of the workshop presentations and handbook.
