Description:
Can you rest assured? This course discusses the importance of people, processes and risk management for reducing exposure to resource and reserve risk, and improving the quality and confidence in estimate generation and reporting. Attendees will learn how a framework of peer review and technical audit provides a robust system of knowledge sharing, improvement and corporate governance. The course will include case studies of how such processes have worked and identify how these could be improved.
Audience:
This course will benefit and be of interest to technical managers, company officers, internal and external auditors, directors and investors concerned with the accuracy and transparency of reported results, regardless of the size or maturity of the reporting entity. The course is open to all levels of comprehension.

Mark Noppe is a leader and consultant in geosciences and the mining industry providing advice, training and mentoring in all aspects of orebody knowledge, from exploration reporting, resource definition and reporting, mine geology and grade control through to inputs into reserving. He has been consulting since 1997 and his technical experience covers a wide range of projects, commodities, geological and mining settings.

Mark is a Resource Geology Consultant with 15 years of international experience in mineral exploration, resource estimation and project development. Mark is experienced in the authoring and auditing of resource estimates in accordance and compliance with International Reporting Codes, including base and precious metal, bulk commodities, diamond and industrial mineral projects. Mark is currently a Director of SRK UK.
