SRK Consulting is an independent, international consulting practice, providing globally integrated consulting services to the international mining and metals sector.
We are seeking a Senior Mining Engineer.
The successful candidate will provide technical support and focussed consulting advice on underground mining projects for North American and international clients. The work will typically include contribution to technical studies, due diligence, operational assistance and project management. As a Mining Engineer this position also includes the expectation to develop and maintain a client network in collaboration with the Ontario mining team. There will be an opportunity and expectation to continuously develop your technical skills and industry knowledge to further assist the SRK Ontario team, with offices in Sudbury and Toronto.
- A minimum of an undergraduate degree in mining engineering or related field;
- At least 10 years of practical underground operational and/or consulting experience;
- Advance level of technical skills in chosen engineering discipline;
- Proficient in either Deswik or related software;
- Sufficient knowledge of the main aspects of mineral projects to enable identification of study risks and opportunities;
- Demonstrated project management skills;
- Advanced level of interpersonal and collaboration skills;
- High level of Effective communication and leadership qualities while working in a team environment;
- Ability to establish and maintain client relationships; and,
- Registered or eligible for professional registration as P.Eng.
This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects both nationally and overseas; international travel may form a significant part of the role.
