Senior Level Geochemist

SRK Consulting (UK) Ltd is based in Cardiff, Wales - Europe's youngest capital city. We offer a variety of interesting and challenging projects working from a capital city location. Many of our projects are of an international nature and utilise SRK’s international consulting network.
SRK Consulting (UK) Ltd is seeking a Senior level Geochemist to join a busy Geochemical team. Candidates will ideally have relevant professional experience with a focus on geochemistry, environmental engineering or processing within the extractive minerals industry. In addition, a postgraduate qualification in Geochemistry, Applied Geology, Metallurgy, Environmental Engineering, Soil Science or Chemical Engineering would be desirable. Experience in laboratory preparation, mineral characterisation and geochemical data analysis is also preferable.
Applicants will be computer literate and proficient in the use of specialist geochemical and/or engineering software. Excellent communication and report writing skills are essential.
This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects in the UK and overseas and international travel will form a significant part of the role. Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of a foreign language would also be advantageous.
